Sometimes life hits hard.

It becomes unbearable to cope with.

Its hard to reach out and say exactly how you are feeling and how the circumstances have taken a toll on your life in many ways.

It can take its toll on your health, your mindset, your mental health and physical wellbeing. I understand and know how you are feeling as I have been  there too.

​

My story began 15 years ago with a child suffering from paediatric bipolar which made her incredibly violent in the home. This took its toll on her siblings and my marriage.

My husband and I lost 3 of our parents over a 10-month period whilst living abroad followed closely by my mastectomy.

In 2022 my husband was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer which he had surgery for and is a three-year survivor.

Last Christmas 2024 he had a seizure, and a glioblastoma brain tumor was found and removed. His prognosis is unknown. 

​

Gradually over time my life situation took its toll. I started to use many unhealthy coping mechanisms and  I gained 50 pounds, drank far too much alcohol and smoked. I just didn't know how to cope. I gave up being active, lost motivation for life and gave in to isolating myself and quite frankly I wanted to die. Previous to this I was a triathlete, competing in races and at the top of my game. I lost it all. I felt tired, exhausted, demotivated, lonely and desperate.

​

Over the years I used many maladaptive coping tools ie. drinking alcohol, emotional eating, nicotine and isolating from others.

It has been a long journey to get myself back to a place of being determined to live a life of joy, gratitude and positivity.

This hasn't been easy but I now know I have these tools and can help you do the same.

Whether you are dealing with grief, loss, stress, trauma or current life adversities. I can help you.

I use a framework called ARCH which takes us through a process of

 

A -Acceptance and awareness - crucial as a foundation to moving forward

R -Reveal - to dig deep together and explore the issues we are looking to cope with, 

C -Compassion - for ourselves which is pivotal in coping and healing

H -Healing - ways and means we can heal and manage life's hard times with self-care, meditation, talk therapy and resilience tools.

Life is not smooth. There will always be joy and sorrow. That is something we must learn to accept.

My role is to help you see clearly and find ways to cope. 

​

I live an uncertain life but a truly happy one because I have hope, positivity, love, gratitude, acceptance and connection.

​
